Kerry Drainage and Civil are immensely proud of Julia Bailey, for the recognition she received at the CCNZ Excellence Awards.
A few weeks ago, the CCNZ Excellence Awards were held in Auckland – and we were so proud to see our very own Project Engineer, Julia Bailey, recognised as a finalist in the Women in Contracting category.
Since joining our team in 2019, Julia has contributed significantly to our growth and success – never failing to bring her organisational, communication, stakeholder engagement, and financial tracking skills to the table.
It has been these skills, and more, that have enabled Julia to take on important leadership roles within our company. With this, Julia has done an exceptional job managing more complex projects – including, most recently, an enabling civil works project at the Papakura Water Treatment Plant, for Brian Perry Civil. This project – which started as a 4-week subcontract, has increased in scope and grown into a 7-months long project.
With this, Julia delivered a works package that covered everything from Retaining Walls, to Bulk Earthworks, SW drainage, and large Water infrastructure. The client had extremely positive feedback about Julia’s work – commenting on how “she was actively engaged from the start, utilising the technology at hand, such as holobuilder and drone shots, the model and as-built information. She was instrumental in the daily coordination catch ups, ensuring that within 42 days, water was running through KCD’s pipes for WSL commissioning to start”.
As such a valuable member of our leadership team, Julia is so deserving of this recognition. Well done, Julia – we are so proud of you!
