Raising a non-alcoholic glass to Dry July!
Every year, Kiwis all around Aotearoa give up alcohol for the month of July to raise funds and awareness for those affected by cancer.
We are so proud to share that, this year, seven of our staff successfully completed Dry July – putting down our favourite alcoholic drinks in the name of charity.
And, we raised nearly $6, 000 in doing so!
These funds, alongside the $1.6 million that was raised by other Dry Julyers, will be passed on to Look Good Feel Better, Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ, Bowel Cancer NZ and PINC & STEEL NZ – to help improve the comfort, care and wellbeing of the nearly 2, 000 New Zealanders who are diagnosed with cancer every month.
For some of us, saying no to alcohol was quite the challenge! For others, we’ve been enjoying soaking up the health benefits.
But, one thing we are all united in, is the sense of pride that has emerged from taking on a meaningful challenge for such a worthy cause.
